Following the Royal Rumble, both winner HBK and the rest of the World Wrestling Federation were on the road to Wrestlemania XII. They did have one last PPV in store before hitting their final stop in Anaheim. Diesel still needed his rematch from world champion Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels put his main event status on the line against Bret’s younger brother Owen.
